Safe Migration Network, a national network working, lobbying and advocating for the rights of migrant workers has urged Nepal government to endorse UN convention on migration 1990 and ensure security to Nepali nationals working in foreign labor market.
Issuing a press statement today, the Network has also urged the government to ensure rights to such workers to vote in the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections through the office of consulate and embassies.
The Network has also set different programs to mark International Migration Day. The network is to organize a rally on December 3, exhibit materials related to foreign employment and distribute pamphlets. Similarly the Network will organized seminar on related issues and launch awareness programs.
